The green anole is a common lizard throughout Georgia and South Carolina. Anoles are generally arboreal (living in trees) but can be found almost anywhere. They are commonly found in suburban or even urban areas and can often be seen perched on fences and rooftops. I found this one sunning himself on a bird blind at Sam’s Lake Sanctuary in Fayette County.
Using a narrow depth of field to blur the distraction of the background, I then decided to crop the image and leave plenty of space for copy.
